WKYZ Studios
Please Note:
The contents of the Building Library are extremely outdated; it has not been updated in years and will likely not be made current until the completion of our new layout.
NBC 4 WKYZ has a new studio building on Amecker St., across the tracks from SERR School. It is used for Good Morning Legoland and news programs, including PRR Update, the railroad's own news program. Inside, you'll find a desk, cameras, and TVs. The footage from the cameras is sent wirelessly to WKYZ's main building for editing and transmission. The studio is made from a tree box, and uses a wooden box, LGB model scale people, and computer print-outs. We cut the bottom of the box off, covered it with paper, and filled the inside. We have not put any lights in the building, however some light is provided by the Christmas lights that we have strung around most of our buildings that give needed ambient outdoor light.
