7.28.02 - Welcome To The New E&A Trains!
We've been working on this for a long time, and now it's here. Our first major update is completed. The new interface is the biggest cosmetic change. The completely customized images give the site some depth. We have completely revamped the News System. The new front page is easier to follow than the old one that had two, confusing columns. Instead of entire stories showing up on the front page, you'll now see the title and a short summary of the story, with a link to its own page. This brings us to the entirely new Archive section. It has three parts, the News Archive, the Rolling Stock Library, and the Buildings Library. The News Archive stores all of the news stories posted on E&A Trains since August 25, 2001. This also eliminates the unuseful, and sometimes neglected, What's New page. It looks like the front page, except some of the older stories only appeared on the What's New page, and don't have story pages. The other two parts of the Archive section contain images and descriptions of everything related to their respective subjects, buildings and rolling stock. The rolling stock entries won't change, except for minor updates, but if a building gets a new tenant, its entry will completely change accordingly. New entries will be added as needed. The Links, Pictures, and About Us sections have not changed, however we have added a new section to the Movies section, Trains. It has motion movies of different trains going by at different places in the railroad. That about sums up the site update, and we hope you like it as much as we do. If you have any comments, suggestions, or complaints about it, please don't hesitate to email us or sign or guestbook.
